United Airlines Doubles Dublin-Washington Flights for Summer 2025

United Airlines has announced a major expansion of its nonstop services between Dublin and the U.S. for summer 2025. This move will provide Dublin Airport with its highest-ever capacity, marking a milestone in transatlantic connectivity.

Starting March 29, 2025, United will double its daily flights between Dublin and Washington D.C., increasing from one to two daily services. The Dublin to Chicago O'Hare seasonal route will also see an upgrade. United plans to replace the Boeing 757-200 with the advanced Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, offering passengers a superior travel experience.

The airline already operates year-round daily nonstop flights from Dublin to New York/Newark. It also provides seasonal daily nonstop services from Shannon to New York/Newark and Chicago O'Hare. For summer 2025, United will offer more flights and seats from Dublin than any other U.S. airline, highlighting its commitment to the Irish market.

Graeme McQueen, Head of Media Relations at DAA, praised the announcement: "United's expansion is great news for passengers and demonstrates the demand for increased two-way transatlantic travel between Ireland and North America." McQueen emphasized that lifting Dublin Airport's passenger cap could further enhance Ireland's global connectivity.

Karolien De Hertogh, Director of Sales UK and Ireland for United Airlines, expressed enthusiasm for the expanded services. "With this substantial increase in capacity and the expansion of our Dublin schedule, we're thrilled to offer our Irish customers even greater travel choice for their U.S. getaways in summer 2025," she said.

The additional services are expected to boost tourism, jobs, and the economy in Ireland. United passengers will also enjoy seamless connections to over 150 destinations across the Americas via United's key U.S. hubs.
