JetBlue Marks 25 Years With $25 Flights and Exciting Expansion Plans

JetBlue Airways is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a series of initiatives to enhance customer experience and expand its services. The airline has announced a five-day airfare sale, offering one-way flights starting as low as $25 on select routes, including New York City to Boston and Charleston. This promotion is available for bookings with travel dates between February 25 and June 11, excluding a blackout period from April 10 to April 29.

In addition to discounted flights, JetBlue is offering up to $650 off on flight and hotel packages or flight and cruise combinations through JetBlue Vacations. Customers can secure these deals with a $25 deposit. Starting February 14, 2025, the airline's travel booking extension, Paisley, will provide new deals on hotels, car rentals, and other activities to complement flight bookings.

Looking ahead, JetBlue plans to launch seasonal routes from Boston to Madrid, Spain, and Edinburgh, Scotland, beginning in May 2025. These destinations will join the airline's existing European services to Dublin, Amsterdam, London, and Paris. The carrier is also preparing to debut its first customer lounges at John F. Kennedy International Airport's Terminal 5 in 2025, followed by Boston Logan International Airport's Terminal C. These lounges will offer exclusive perks for TrueBlue Mosaic members and JetBlue premium cardholders.

Furthermore, JetBlue is set to introduce a domestic first-class option in 2026, combining elevated comfort with the airline's signature low fares. The company is also evolving its EvenMore® program, which offers extra legroom seats at the front of the aircraft. The updated program will provide additional amenities, including free alcoholic beverages, premium snacks, dedicated overhead bin space, early boarding, priority security, and extra space.

CEO Joanna Geraghty reflected on the airline's journey: "As we celebrate 25 groundbreaking years of JetBlue, I'm filled with gratitude and pride for the remarkable journey we've taken together." She emphasized the company's mission of bringing humanity back to air travel and praised the crewmembers for redefining customer care.

JetBlue unveiled a BlueUnity livery dedicated to its more than 23,000 crewmembers to commemorate this milestone. The newly painted Airbus A321 aircraft operated a celebratory flight from New York to Fort Lauderdale, honoring the teamwork central to the airline's success.

Since its inaugural flight from New York's JFK Airport to Fort Lauderdale on February 11, 2000, JetBlue has expanded to serve over 100 destinations across 31 countries on three continents. The airline continues to focus on affordable fares and customer-centric services as it embarks on its next chapter.
