A New Class of Seating to be Introduced at United Airlines
United Airlines is introducing a new Business Class upgrade option called Premium Economy.
The new offering, which will be called the Premium Economy, will be developed within the existing Premium Economy class and will provide United customers with an even more luxurious travel experience.
Passengers booking with the Polaris line of seating can upgrade to enjoy amenities such as suites with doors and push-button champagne service. The new service is set to provide premium travel experience to United's customers.

Additional amenities under consideration at Polaris airport lounges consist of more capacious seats, priority for sit-down dining, and private check-in. By implementing the new seating class, United could increase its competitiveness relative to Delta and American.
However, opposition to that champagne option is possible.
Sara Nelson, president of the principal flight attendants' union, which includes United employees, stated that the call icon should not be used for simulated hostess service but rather in an emergency.
In the past, she attempted to convince airlines to prohibit the provision of alcoholic beverages to reduce the amount of time flight attendants spent on them. Under the direction of CEO Scott Kirby, United has promoted its premium services.
The airline has refrained from providing any statement regarding the potential introduction of a new seating class.
