Flight Change Rules

Basic Economy tickets cannot be modified after 24 hours of booking.
Travel must be completed within one year of the ticket date.
A fare difference may apply when making changes.

Change Fees:

There is a change fee only for trips originating in Europe, except for Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

Same-Day Flight Changes

A Same-day airlines ticket change allows you to secure a different flight on your departure day if eligible seats are available.
Your new flight must have the same departure and arrival airports.
Confirmations can only be made within 24 hours of the desired flight.

Same-Day Standby

Same day standby allows you to wait for an earlier flight on the same route.
This option does not guarantee a seat.

American Airlines name & date change

American Airlines' name change policy has set rules for minor and major changes. These are:

Minor Name Changes

Minor corrections can be made on American Airlines or American Eagle flights with (001) validated airline tickets.
The original date of birth and gender must remain unchanged.

Major Name Changes

A new PNR is required for major corrections when flights include "R" inventory, codeshare, or other airlines on (001) validated tickets.
The original date of birth and gender must remain unchanged.

Change Fees:No fees apply for any minor or major name corrections.

Validity:Name corrections cannot be made within 24 hours of departure, as flights may be under airport control.

Date Changes:Changing the flight date is not allowed.
